Do I need to register my warranty?
You don’t need to register your Tighes Timepiece to validate a warranty, but hold on to your sales receipt; we may ask for original proof of purchase.
Can I get anyone to repair my watch?
Your warranty will be void if it’s opened by anyone other than someone authorised by Tighes Timepieces, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Why was my order cancelled?
We’re sorry your order was cancelled. When this happens it’s usually due to: out of stock item(s) or difficulty processing payment information. We will contact you, you will not be charged for cancelled items. If you have questions about a cancelled order, please contact us.
Where is the shipping from?
We are based in Cheshire, see the company address and all products are shipped from our offices.
How do I change or cancel my order?
If we haven’t posted your watch please call us, if we’ve sent it then we do accept returns, please see below:
Tighes Timepieces accepts returns for orders placed within 30 days of the delivery date, at no additional charge (that’s free shipping both ways!) Here’s how:
- Pack your Tighes Timepiece product in a safe and secure box.
- Contact us and we will provide detailed instructions on what to do next.
- Once your package has been received at Tighes Timepieces, an email notification will be sent to you to confirm that we have your return. We’ll follow up with another email once your refund has been processed.
(Note: Returns must be unused, unworn, in original packaging with all tags attached and all accessories. Returns will be processed within 2-4 business days after receipt. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment. Depending on your bank, it can take an additional 3 business days for the credit to post to your account.)
Where can I enter my discount code?
During the order process the discount code can be entered but don’t worry, if you have any difficulties please contact us.
How do I place an order?
Use the order form, basket and checkout system on the website but please make sure you leave us all your details so that we can contact you and get the shipping right.
Which Payment methods can I choose?
PayPal is the preferred choice but don’t worry we do accept credit / debit cards; we can’t however accept cash.
What is a warranty issue and what isn’t?
If your watch stops working it’s not due to wear and tear or misuse then it’s probably a warranty issue and you need to contact us via email (but please check the warranty for confirmation), usually best in writing and then we will sort it out with you. Please see the terms and conditions of warranty for further details.
My watch is out of warranty; can I still have it repaired?
Tighes Timepiece’s Service Centre can provide a full service for your watch. For an estimated charge and service repair, contact us. You will then receive a service order number with shipping instructions.
Do I pay VAT?
The price you see is the price you pay.
What are your watches made of?
They are all made of quality materials and have stainless steel cases, Sapphire Crystal Bevelled glass and Swiss movements.
Can I wash my watch?
We don’t recommend it, cleaning with a moist cloth then polishing dry is usually best. The leather strap is a natural material and needs to treated with care, detergents and water will affect the leather, much like when you get your shoes wet and get that white stain on them.
How do I change my watch strap?
We have designed the strap with an ingenious quick release mechanism so it’s easy for you, we carry a full stock of spares so just give us a call. We will of course be happy to do this for you if you wish to return it to us.
How long does my battery last?
It’ll last a year at a minimum, please give us a call for instructions on how to replace the battery, we of course will always do it for you. All models can be sent directly to us for battery replacement. You will incur a reasonable service charge for watches sent to us for battery replacement. This service also includes proper re-sealing to maintain the appropriate level of water resistance.
How do I get a new strap, spring bar or buckle?
We can send some small parts out individually, depending on the watch model. Please contact us for details, we are here to help.
You didn’t answer the phone and I left you a message?
We were probably in the warehouse or making a brew but don’t worry we always reply within 24 hrs, easiest method is email as we then have a record of the conversation and can easily reply.
You support Make a Wish and other charities, how much do you give?
Our mission is simple, we commit to creating something beautiful that is made with pride and integrity. This will not just be reflected in our products but within the unique community we are growing, that teaches even the smallest act of love and compassion can make a difference.
As such we aim to help out all of our charities as much as we can. We regularly donate to Make a Wish and we regularly support local charities in our areas. As the company grows we hope to do even more!
Can I donate separately to Make a Wish?

How do I care for the case of my watch?
If there is a coating on your Tighes Timepiece watch it is part of the design. The coating gives your watch a unique colour. Like all quality watches, your Tighes Timepiece needs to be treated with care. Hard scratches and abrasion will scratch the coating off your watch. How often does my watch require servicing?
We recommend that you have the seals of your watch checked for water resistance every 2 years and the movement checked for time accuracy every 5 years at our Repair Centre. If you require the battery replacing you will of course need the seals checked.
